The Brisbane Broncos have scored a try with the appointment of a new General Manager of Football Operations just in time for the kick-off of the 2025 NRL season.
After putting in the hard yards as the operations manager in November, Troy Thomson has been called up to the big leagues as the GM of Football Operations.
The decision to promote Thomson came after the club went on a recruitment drive, only to find the perfect candidate right under their nose at Red Hill.
Former NRLW head coach Paul Dyer will be calling the shots for the NRLW program, while Simon Scanlon will be leading the charge in recruitment and retention.
"I'm chuffed to be taking on this role and keen to keep driving the team forward at the Broncos since Madge and myself came on board at the Club," Thomson said in a statement.
