Broncos v Knights: Upton ready to fire; Karpani back on deck
This Sunday afternoon, Suncorp Stadium will host an exciting preliminary final as the Broncos take on the Knights.
Coming off a week of rest, the Broncos are determined to apply lessons learned from last year's shocking defeat to the Sharks during this stage of the finals, ensuring they are well-prepared for their rivals.
The teams have faced each other evenly in the past, with three wins each. However, the Broncos have shown stronger performance recently, winning their last two encounters. In their Round 8 matchup, they overcame a slow start to secure a decisive 46-18 victory.
This season, the Broncos have only suffered one loss, to the minor premiers the Roosters. Their most recent game was a dominating 50-4 concession against the Cowboys, highlighted by former Knight Tamika Upton's stellar performance, as she netted a hat-trick.
Meanwhile, the Knights are arriving in Brisbane with momentum, having won three consecutive matches, including last week's elimination final against the Gold Coast.
The Knights began strong, establishing a commanding 24-0 lead by the 41st minute. However, they eased up during the second half, allowing the Titans to make a comeback, but eventually clinched a 34-20 victory.
