Broncos Forward Joins Manly on Four-Year Deal

The Brisbane Broncos have developed one of the most formidable forward packs in the NRL.

However, they are set to experience a significant loss.

According to reports from The Daily Telegraph, Broncos lock Kobe Hetherington is preparing to leave after this season, having signed a lucrative four-year contract with the Manly Sea Eagles.

Hetherington is expected to remain with the Sea Eagles until 2029, following secret negotiations with the club regarding his move to Sydney.

Despite Broncos coach Michael Maguire frequently praising Hetherington, it appears that his admiration wasn't sufficient to secure his commitment beyond this year.

Instead, Hetherington will join an impressive lineup of forwards, including Haumole Olakau'atu, Jake Trbojevic, and Taniela Paseka, as he transitions from one powerful pack to another.

He has played a critical role in the Broncos' top-four campaign in 2025, scoring two tries in a solid 24 appearances.
