Former NRL coach Shane Flanagan has expressed concerns that the Broncos may face another challenging season in the upcoming year, largely due to uncertainties surrounding the structure of the team's spine.
Currently, it's not yet confirmed, but the Brisbane Broncos appear poised to become the first team in two decades to defend their title and subsequently miss the finals, following their devastating defeat to North Queensland this past weekend.
"Very disappointing. They could've won this game but they couldn't ice their chances," remarked NRL360 host Braith Anasta.
Additionally, journalist Brent Read commented, "It's the story of their season."
He further noted, "They haven't aimed up all year. They have had injuries but a lot of their players back now and they couldn't execute."
As the team looks ahead, Brent also emphasized, "They have a big off-season in front of them. A lot of soul searching."
With uncertainty looming over key positions and the pressure mounting, the future could be more challenging for the Broncos than ever before.
