Broncos Face Growing Injury Crisis in 2025

Already without Adam Reynolds, Ezra Mam, and Selwyn Cobbo, the Brisbane Broncos' injury woes have escalated as Jack Gosiewski faces a possible end to his 2025 NRL season.

After sustaining an injury during the match against the Dolphins this past weekend, AAP reports that back-rower Gosiewski's season may be over due to a fractured collarbone, for which he underwent surgery on Sunday.

This development follows an initial assessment by the Broncos' medical staff, who believed he had merely suffered an AC joint injury. Brendan Piakura is expected to step in for Gosiewski, but his availability is uncertain as he is still observing mandatory concussion protocols after being sidelined for the past two weeks.

The timing of Gosiewski's injury is particularly unfortunate, as he is currently without a contract for the upcoming season and is effectively playing for his future. The Broncos are already missing key forwards Benjamin Te Kura (foot) and Xavier Willison (broken arm), among other injuries to significant players.

"I'm really happy with where I'm at now," Gosiewski stated to The Courier-Mail regarding his outlook last week.

"It has been a journey, a lot of moving and great support from Avalon. It's been impressive to watch her go through all of that and support me the whole time."
