Broncos Extend Jensen, Eyeing Two More Contracts

The Brisbane Broncos have confirmed the re-signing of forward Corey Jensen on a two-year contract. Additionally, there are reports indicating that Cory Paix and Jack Gosiewski are close to securing spots on the 2026 roster.

Jensen, who was among several players without contracts by season's end, has established himself as a vital component of the Broncos' forward lineup during his tenure in Brisbane.

Since joining the club from the North Queensland Cowboys in 2022, where he had only participated in 23 games over three years, Jensen has played nearly all matches, totaling 85 appearances for the Broncos.

While his performance has dipped slightly this year, he was once considered a dark horse for Origin selection in 2024 due to his impressive form.

With 143 games under his belt, Jensen is a pivotal player for the Broncos, often starting alongside Payne Haas, which helps balance the considerable salaries allocated to both Haas and fellow middle forward Patrick Carrigan.

Expressing his satisfaction with staying at the club, Jensen remarked, "Ever since I came here, the club took me on and really made me feel welcome," in a statement released by the club.

This new deal secures Jensen's presence with the Broncos until at least the end of 2027.
