The Dally M Awards are set to take place tonight, and the Brisbane Broncos are hoping to dominate the event with their eight nominations across different categories.

According to Brisbane vice-captain Kurt Capewell, Payne Haas would be a deserving winner of the Dally M Medal this year.

As the Broncos gear up for the NRL grand final against Penrith, the team will arrive in Sydney on Wednesday to intensify their preparations.

The Broncos have a total of eight players nominated in various categories, including head coach Kevin Walters, who is competing for the coach of the year award alongside Ivan Cleary and Andrew Webster.

If the Broncos manage to secure multiple medals at the Dally M Awards, it would serve as the perfect build-up for their crucial match against the Panthers on Sunday.

While the Broncos have several contenders, the main focus for the top award, the Dally M Medal, rests on superstar prop Haas.

Capewell, who has observed Haas closely this season, fully supports him as a worthy candidate and believes he could join the ranks of Allan Langer, who became the first Broncos player to win the prestigious award back in 1996.
