Brisbane Broncos have made a significant decision following escalating tensions with club legend Gorden Tallis.
The organization has decided to rename a conference room at their headquarters, now honoring Ali Brigginshaw and her remarkable achievements in NRLW.
Brigginshaw's remarkable career includes four premiership titles, three World Cup victories, and the distinction of being the longest-serving Australian Jillaroo.
Initially, the conference room was named after Tallis, but reports from Code Sports indicate that the club aims to distance itself from the former player.
This change comes as Tallis has been openly critical of head coach Michael Maguire and captain Adam Reynolds, using various media platforms to express his dissatisfaction with their methods.
The timing of the room renaming implies that the club is taking a stand against Tallis' ongoing criticism and aims to reshape the narrative surrounding the Brisbane franchise.
CEO Dave Donaghy communicated to the staff that the decision was made to pay tribute to Brigginshaw as one of the club's exceptional legends.
"Brisbane Broncos recognise the positive contributions and ongoing support of a number of club legends by way of naming various meeting rooms within the Clive Berghofer Centre," Donaghy stated.
"The naming of the Ali Brigginshaw meeting room recognises her outstanding contribution to the Broncos club since the inception of the NRLW program, including leading the club to four NRLW Premierships."
