The Broncos have reportedly made it clear Kurt Capewell will not be handed a contract for the 2025 season, leaving him with a big decision to make.

The Courier Mail is reporting Broncos powerbrokers are happy to retain the veteran backrower's services and honour his contract for the 2024 season.

However, with a huge amount of salary cap pressure with Ezra Mam, Adam Reynolds and Reece Walsh all needing to be re-signed, they reportedly can't extend his deal.

That is despite reportedly viewing the premiership-winner as a vital cog in their potential charge for a title in 2024.

Now Capewell, who has been offered a three-year deal to sign with the Warriors immediately, has a big decision to make after a meeting with Andrew Webster.

The Broncos are facing a predicament with Capewell's contract situation, as they are unable to extend his deal due to salary cap pressure, despite viewing him as an important player for their potential title charge in 2024.

As a result, Capewell has been informed that he is free to explore other options, including a three-year deal with the Warriors.
