The Brisbane Broncos are poised to defend their title in 2026 by enhancing their coaching staff with two new appointments, including a former NRL centre.

New additions Aublix Tawha, hailing from The Dolphins, and Grant Anderson from the Melbourne Storm, are set to join the Broncos' Top 30 roster. The club is also enhancing its off-field staff to support head coach Michael Maguire.

As reported by News Corp, the Broncos have recruited sports scientist Nick Murray from the Melbourne Demons (AFL) and brought in former North Queensland Cowboys centre Mark Henry for their strength-and-conditioning team.

At 44 years old, Henry has an extensive background, having played 41 matches for the Cowboys between 2006 and 2008, followed by an additional 70 games for the Salford Red Devils in the Super League.

"It's up to us not to become complacent," Maguire stated. "But what we have experienced is something I know everyone wants to go back to. That makes you hungry to go back and give the club an opportunity to keep growing."

"We are still building who we are; it takes longer than just 12 months. We made great strides this year, and it was incredible what we achieved. The club is in really good shape, but we can keep marching ahead now."
