The Brisbane Broncos are set to hold a trial game against the Papua New Guinea Blossoming Orchids at Suncorp Stadium on June 22, as part of their preparations for the upcoming NRLW season.

This match will take place before the NRL Round 16 clash against the Sharks.

Having officially commenced their pre-season training last month, the Broncos have engaged in extensive preparations over the past four weeks, including a training camp on the Gold Coast.

The squad, comprising 30 players, features a blend of youth and experience, with young talents such as Queensland Under 19 players Reegan Hicks and Shalom Sauaso alongside seasoned players like 2023 Dally M Medallist Tamika Upton.

This trial game will serve as the final assessment for the team's combinations before the NRLW season kicks off on July 5 against the Wests Tigers at Totally Workwear Stadium.

Paul Dyer, Head of the Broncos NRLW Program, emphasized that the game provides an opportunity to evaluate the young players in conjunction with their more experienced teammates.
