Adam Reynolds has been granted an opportunity for redemption in the grand final, as Brisbane coach Michael Maguire has confirmed that the experienced halfback will handle goal-kicking duties against Melbourne.

Considering Reynolds' history with injuries, fullback Reece Walsh initially took on the role of primary kicker during the match against the Panthers. However, when Walsh faltered and mishit a critical goal attempt, Reynolds stepped in and successfully converted a sideline kick, securing a 16-14 victory for the Broncos and bringing an end to the Panthers' premiership reign.

This significant kick not only clinched the win but also helped Reynolds overcome some past demons, as his composure in high-pressure situations has come under scrutiny. In the 2021 grand final, Reynolds missed a tough conversion while playing for South Sydney in a narrow 14-12 loss to the Panthers. He was also involved in the Broncos' disappointing collapse in the 2023 final, where they squandered a 16-point lead with 20 minutes left.

However, Maguire, who led the 35-year-old to a premiership with the Rabbitohs in 2014, expressed confidence in Reynolds' ability to manage the expectations. "He got it right in 2014, I can tell you that," Maguire stated to reporters ahead of Sunday's grand final against the Storm.
