Broncos Provide Update on Payne Haas as R360 Pursuit Continues

The Brisbane Broncos are committed to retaining star prop Payne Haas, indicating they are prepared to wait as long as necessary for a re-signing.

Currently contracted until the end of 2026, Haas has shown no intention of moving to another NRL club, despite interest from the Rugby360 (R360) organization.

Reports suggest that a rugby union competition backed by Saudi Arabian funding has proposed a $3 million annual deal for Haas, which could be tax-free depending on where he resides globally.

Although Haas already earns a seven-figure salary with the Broncos, he has kept quiet about his future and hasn't disclosed any consideration of a potential switch.

Brisbane's salary cap is reportedly tight, but sources indicate that a modest salary increase for Haas could be feasible.

In a discussion on SEN Radio, Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy confirmed that there is no set deadline for Haas's decision. "We haven't put a deadline on that," Donaghhy stated.
