Following their victory against the Melbourne Storm in the 2025 NRL Grand Final, the Brisbane Broncos have announced the addition of a promising prospect to their development roster for the 2026 NRL season.

Tupou Francis, hailed as one of Queensland's top forward talents, has had an impressive year, leading the Burleigh Bears to victory in the Under-19s Mal Meninga Cup and earning comparisons to Kangaroos captain Isaah Yeo.

Francis, who is contracted with the Broncos until the conclusion of the 2028 season, will join fellow prospects Cameron Bukowski, Phillip Coates, and Va'a Semu on the development list, as reported by The Courier-Mail.

The younger sibling of Gold Coast Titans winger Tony Francis, Tupou recently graduated from the prestigious Marsden State High School and was a standout in the Langer Trophy competition.

Playing primarily as a lock, the Under-17s QLD City representative is expected to gain valuable insights from established players like Patrick Carrigan and coach Michael Maguire, aiding his further development for the future.
