Brisbane extended their winning streak to three games with a contentious 26-12 victory against Gold Coast, but the triumph came with a significant drawback.

Fullback Reece Walsh, in his 100th NRL appearance, was transported to the hospital post-game due to a suspected cheekbone fracture.

In the first half, Walsh showcased his remarkable talent, scoring an unforgettable try before suffering a concussion while attempting to tackle Titans forward Kurtis Morrin just before halftime.

Following the game, Broncos coach Michael Maguire expressed his worries regarding Walsh's condition.

"Reece has gone to hospital to get a scan just below his eye so we will have to wait and see on that," Maguire remarked.

A category-one HIA sidelined the No. 1 player for the remainder of the match, ensuring he will miss the upcoming clash against North Queensland at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

Earlier in the game, captain Adam Reynolds sustained a groin strain and was substituted for veteran Ben Hunt, who was also battling a knee injury.

Reynolds mentioned that he would undergo scans for his injury, while Hunt displayed immense courage by continuing to play.

"Early mail from the doc at halftime is he thinks I've stretched my medial a little bit. I'll go and catch up with him now," Hunt shared in the dressing room.
