QRL release BMD Premiership 2026 draw

The Brisbane Tigers are set to kick off their pursuit of consecutive BMD Premiership titles with a home match against the Norths Devils at Totally Workwear Stadium.

Coach Rhett Tronc, who led the team to last year's championship, has extended his contract with the club for another two years. Additionally, star fullback Tahlia Marshall and captain Kelsey Parkin will return in 2026 to represent the Tigers.

In their opening match, the Tigers will face a determined Devils side.

After the appointment of Meg Ward as head coach, expectations are elevated at Norths. The Devils finished the 2025 season in sixth place, which allowed them to compete in the first round of the finals against the Burleigh Bears. Although Norths was eliminated by the Bears, their experience in the playoffs is expected to bolster their ambitions for the upcoming season.

Burleigh, although unsuccessful in the grand final against the Tigers, aims to start strong in Round 1 as they compete against the Sunshine Coast Falcons.
