Jada Ferguson marked her 50th NRLW appearance with Brisbane's 40-16 demolition of Newcastle at Langlands Park.
The reigning premiers led 34-0 at halftime after completing their opening 11 sets and forcing Newcastle to wait until the 16th minute for its first complete set.
Tamika Upton, Jesse Southwell and Romy Teitzel, all facing their former club, controlled the contest.
Southwell directed play at halfback, Upton threatened from fullback before being rested 20 minutes early, and Teitzel dominated on the right edge.
Brisbane scored after 56 seconds when Julia Robinson pressured Lucy Spain into dropping a Southwell kick, allowing Teitzel to cross.
Robinson scored five minutes later, before prop Shannon Mato powered over.
Teitzel added another try, while Upton scored her 10th NRLW finals try, six ahead of the next-best player, and set up Georgia Bartlett with a grubber.
Prop Brianna Clark crossed after halftime, while Newcastle replied through Mercedez Taulelei-Siala, Shanice Parker and Sidney Taylor.
"We will take this win. We went out there really hard in the first half and I can't be more proud of the girls," Broncos winger Julia Robinson told AAP.
Brisbane will face Gold Coast in next Sunday's preliminary final at Robina, a month after losing 28-20 there.
The defeat was Brisbane's third consecutive loss, but the Broncos have since won four straight after coach Scott Prince delivered a halftime spray.
"the next job is against the Titans. Losses can be learnings as well and we learnt from that last game against them and we will come back bigger and better."
Bree Spreadborough suffered a right ankle injury, while Lillian Yarrow was placed on report for a lifting tackle.
