Brisbane's reported $2.5 million offer is the largest contract ever for an NRL recruitment boss, securing Peter O'Sullivan from Newcastle.
The Broncos have confirmed O'Sullivan will become their General Manager of Recruitment.
He spent 18 months at the Knights, helping assemble the squad that reached this year's Grand Final.
Newcastle reportedly wanted to retain him.
During his time there, O'Sullivan recruited Harrison Graham, Sandon Smith, Francis Manuleleua and $13 million halfback Dylan Brown.
Across 25 years in recruitment, he has worked with the Dolphins, Warriors, Storm, Knights and Roosters.
He is regarded as the game's best talent scout.
