Brisbane Broncos Urged to Take a Leaf Out of Craig Bellamy's Playbook After Reece Walsh Dressing Room Drama

The Brisbane Broncos have been told to emulate the man management skills of Craig Bellamy at the Melbourne Storm in light of the controversy surrounding Reece Walsh and the so-called 'rockstar' dressing room in Brisbane.

Former Broncos coach Kevin Walters has come under fire for alleged slip-ups in team standards during his tenure, with the club failing to make the top eight.

There have been whispers that the Broncos' dressing room has become a bit too flashy, with Walsh facing criticism for his antics, including wearing sunglasses in the sheds before the 2023 grand final.

When Michael Maguire took over from Walters, he wasted no time in cracking down by banning shirtless training sessions to appease sponsors and discouraging players from painting their nails or sporting sunglasses indoors.

While Walters defended the players' right to express themselves, Broncos legend Corey Parker pointed to the success of the Melbourne Storm under Bellamy's tough approach.

Storm stars like Ryan Papenhuyzen, Cameron Munster, and Harry Grant face less media scrutiny in Melbourne, where AFL reigns supreme, but they still manage to shine in their own right in the NRL.

Parker, who was coached by Bellamy during his playing days, believes that the key to Melbourne's sustained success lies in checking egos at the door and focusing on the team.

He hinted at the Broncos' issues in comparison, suggesting that they could benefit from a similar approach to get back on track.
