AJ Brimson has received medical clearance to return to play in the NRL match against the Broncos this Saturday at Suncorp Stadium, as reported by titans.com.au.

The 122-game veteran suffered a head knock during training before last weekend's clash against the Storm but is now cleared to participate.

He will join Tukimihia Simpkins on the extended bench in the 19-man squad, with coach Des Hasler poised to make a final decision on the lineup an hour before the 7:35 PM kickoff.

The Titans are optimistic about extending their recent success against the Broncos, aiming for their fourth consecutive win over their northern rivals.

The Titans, dubbed the 'little brother,' have remained unbeaten in the Macca's Local Derby since mid-2023.

In injury updates, Sam Verrills has successfully undergone surgery for a broken hand and is targeting a return in Round 17.

Meanwhile, David Fifita will not play in the derby as he is continuing rehabilitation following ankle surgery.

He is under monitoring and is expected to be available for selection in the upcoming weeks.
