AJ Brimson has officially declared his intention to represent England in international rugby league, marking a significant change in his career.

By switching his allegiance, he will no longer be eligible for State of Origin, a decision motivated by his heritage, family connections, and personal pride.

The Titans star confirmed this move after receiving approval for his eligibility application, opening doors for his potential selection in the upcoming Ashes series and the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.

"It's something I've wanted to do for a while," Brimson stated in an interview with NRL.com, expressing his excitement about representing England.

He also indicated his intent to actively pursue a spot on the team, saying, "I will be putting my hand up to try to play for them this year and going forward." Brimson's family background plays a significant role in this decision, as his mother hails from south London and he has extended family in Plymouth and other regions of England.

This change is not only a personal milestone for Brimson but also allows him to connect more closely with his family's roots while contributing to the English rugby league team.
