Brimson benched, Titans frosty on groin recovery

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Gold Coast Titans have decided to give star fullback AJ Brimson some time on the sidelines to address his ongoing groin issues, ruling him out for the remainder of the 2024 season.

The club is focused on getting him back to peak fitness for the start of pre-season in November, aiming to have him firing on all cylinders when they hit the ground running under the watchful eye of coach Des Hasler.

Brimson has been battling with this nagging groin injury throughout the entire season, managing to play just 13 games this year.

This isn't the first time he has struggled with injuries, as he only played 14 games in the 2023 season as well.

Despite his setbacks, Brimson remains a key player for the Titans on the field.

With young guns like Keano Kini making their mark at the club and the impressive form of Jayden Campbell, it will be interesting to see where Brimson fits into the line-up for the 2025 season.

It's all part of the game as the Titans navigate through this challenging period and look to come back stronger next year.
