A book chronicling the life of Brian Johnson will be launched at the St George Leagues Club on Thursday, June 26, at 2:00 PM.

Authored by Karen Johnson, Brian's high school sweetheart and wife of 37 years, the book addresses Brian's diagnosis of Younger Onset Dementia, suspected CTE, in 2010, and the subsequent challenges he and his family faced until his death in 2016.

Throughout the narrative, Karen shares an intermittent journal composed of letters to her husband and others, providing a poignant look into the struggles of declining cognition and the daily challenges confronted by caregivers.

Brian Johnson, originally from Dapto, began his rugby league career with the St George Dragons in 1979, contributing significantly to the team's Grand Final victory over Canterbury that same year.

He made 147 appearances for the Red V between 1979 and 1985 before moving to the UK to play for English club Warrington, where he added another 102 games and 48 tries to his record.
