Leeds Rhinos have confirmed that head coach Brad Arthur will remain with the team until at least the end of the 2026 Super League season.
Arthur, who assumed the coaching role in July 2024, has significantly improved the team's performance, currently placing them in fifth position in the Super League and positioning them as playoff contenders.
After being offered a multi-year contract, the 51-year-old took some time to deliberate with his family about whether to continue in Leeds or return to Australia. Ultimately, on Monday, he chose to sign with Leeds Rhinos, with the possibility of extending his contract beyond the upcoming year.
"I am really pleased to be staying here at the Rhinos. My family and I have been made to feel so welcome since the first day I walked in the door at AMT Headingley and I am excited about what this group of players can achieve," said Arthur.
He also expressed gratitude towards club officials, stating, "I would like to thank Paul Caddick and Ian Blease, in particular, for the support and patience they have shown to me."
Arthur concluded by noting, "I always said from the outset that I only wanted to be here if I felt I could help make the team better and have an impact on this group of players."
