Brad Arthur, the coach of Leeds Rhinos and former Parramatta Eels coach, has reportedly made a decision regarding his coaching future amidst ongoing speculation about a potential return to the NRL.
After being dismissed by the Parramatta Eels last season, Arthur transferred to the Super League, where he took charge of the Leeds Rhinos. He is on the verge of leading the team back to the finals for the first time in three years.
Amidst consistent rumors about his return to the NRL, Arthur is expected to sign a multi-year contract extension, allowing him to continue as head coach of Leeds Rhinos. An official announcement regarding his decision is anticipated on Monday, as reported by The Courier-Mail.
This reported choice will effectively eliminate him from consideration for the head coaching positions at the Gold Coast Titans and Newcastle Knights, both of which he had recently been associated with.
Additionally, he was considered a potential candidate for the inaugural head coach position of the Perth Bears before Mal Meninga was confirmed for the role.
"Maybe, I don't know," he stated at the beginning of July when questioned about his future at Leeds, as noted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
