Novocastrian powerhouse Bradman Best, of the Newcastle Knights, has been selected for the prestigious honor of wearing the sky blue jersey for the New South Wales Blues in the upcoming State of Origin decider at the legendary Suncorp Stadium.

In a bold move reminiscent of Rugby League legends past, Blues coach Michael Maguire has called upon Best to step up and fill the void left by the injured Latrell Mitchell.

Joining him in the squad is the hard-hitting Mitch Barnett from the Warriors, who will be making his Origin debut after impressing in recent club matches.

Barnett's inclusion sees him replace the versatile Haumole Olakau'atu, who has been a solid contributor in the middle for the Blues but will make way for Barnett's fresh energy and determination on the field.

Known for his tough playing style and never-say-die attitude, Barnett's recent standout performance for the Warriors only solidified his spot in the Origin squad.

With the coveted jersey on their backs, Best and Barnett will no doubt draw inspiration from the Rugby League greats who have worn it before them as they prepare to face off against Queensland in the final showdown of the series.

It's sure to be a clash for the ages, with the Blues counting on their new recruits to bring their A-game and help secure victory in true blue fashion.
