The New South Wales Blues have announced their team for Origin I, with Isaah Yeo appointed captain, taking over from Jake Trbojevic, who is unavailable due to injury.

Yeo will play lock in place of Cameron Murray, who is also injured.

"Mitchell Moses has won the five-eighth spot" to partner with superstar Nathan Cleary, edging out Jarome Luai for the position.

The selection of prop Max King for his representative debut stands out, as he joins his grandfather Johnny King, a Hall of Fame inductee, in representing NSW.

Coach Laurie Daley has largely maintained the successful team from last year's series, marking his first official naming since resuming his coaching role.

Dylan Edwards continues at fullback, retaining the jersey over James Tedesco, while the wingers remain unchanged with Brian To'o and Zac Lomax, both of whom have just returned from injuries.

The team will face off at the Suncorp Stadium on May 28.
