Blues Adjust Roster Ahead of Game 2

The NSW Blues have made lineup adjustments ahead of Game 2 of the State of Origin series.

Casey McLean has been officially ruled out after straining his right quadriceps muscle during a training session at Polytec Stadium in Gosford.

During practice on Saturday, he was seen with a compression bandage on his leg.

Mark Nawaqanitawase is set to make his debut on the wing, stepping in to fill McLean's position, marking a significant milestone for the 25-year-old.

To cover for McLean's absence, Toluta'u Koula will move into the centres, altering the Blues' outside back framework.

On the bench, Dolphins winger Jack Bostock has been named as a replacement, taking the spot left open by Nawaqanitawase's elevation to the starting lineup.

The 22-year-old's addition provides Blues coach Laurie Daley with a versatile option for the outside backs, should the need arise during the game.

Currently leading the series 1-0, New South Wales will aim to navigate through these late personnel changes as they seek a series-clinching victory in front of an anticipated crowd of 90,000 at the MCG.
