'No way, mate': Titans' Fifita clause under fire as footy legend backs premiers in signing showdown

The Titans' decision to include an exit clause in David Fifita's contract has caused quite a stir as a fierce competition between clubs heats up ahead of a looming deadline.

Fifita is facing a critical deadline in his contract, and if he chooses not to exercise the option, he will be free to depart from the Gold Coast club before the 2025 season kicks off.

The Panthers were the first in the scrum to meet with the talented backrower, offering a hefty contract worth $850,000 per season, as reported by the SMH.

Next up to bat were Shane Flanagan and the Dragons, waving Zac Lomax's $850,000 salary for next season in front of Fifita.

However, the latest contender to enter the game is the Roosters, who have come in strong with a deal worth $825,000 spread out over the next four seasons.

It's shaping up to be a real nail-biter as the clock ticks down to the deadline, with fans eagerly waiting to see where Fifita will end up and how this saga will play out on the footy field.
