Blaize Talagi's uncertain Penrith future

Penrith Panthers in bombshell development as Blaize Talagi confirms Parramatta Eels exit

Jack Cogger's hold on Penrith's five-eighth role has added uncertainty to Blaize Talagi's future at the club.

Talagi has spent two seasons with the Panthers after joining to replace Jarome Luai alongside Nathan Cleary, but has struggled to establish himself at No.6.

Late this year, the 21-year-old was moved to the centres or the interchange bench.

Michael Carayannis said on NRL 360: "He may not play again for them potentially,"

Penrith's salary-cap situation could also contribute to Talagi's departure, with several players potentially leaving at the end of 2027.

His future is among those drawing attention as November 1 opens the way for off-contract NRL players to speak with rival clubs.

Talagi, Cameron Munster and Matt Burton are among the high-profile five-eighths whose futures are uncertain, while other players hope to stay with their current clubs.
