Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles have climbed up the NSW Cup ladder with a convincing 32-12 victory over the NZ Warriors in Auckland.

The win has propelled them from seventh place to third place, securing a spot in the top five teams that will compete in the finals.

Currently on 30 points, Blacktown Workers' position in the top five is subject to the results of other games this weekend.

Their next challenge will be against the fourth placed Bulldogs at Belmore Sports Ground next Friday night.

The Bulldogs, currently on 29 points, will be facing off against the fifth place Canberra this weekend.

In their match against the Warriors, Blacktown Workers displayed dominance, denying the Warriors a try early on due to a shepherd and holding centre Viliami Vailea in a three-man tackle.

After withstanding the early pressure, Blacktown Workers opened up the scoring with hooker Gordon Chan Kum Tong barging over from dummy half.

Five-eighth Jamie Humphreys successfully converted the try, giving Blacktown Workers a 6-0 lead after 15 minutes.
