The Blacktown Workers suffered a crushing defeat at home to the North Sydney Bears in a Round 13 showdown of The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.

The Sea Eagles came out strong, racing to an 18-0 lead in the first 23 minutes, but the Bears clawed their way back into the game to only trail by six at half-time.

Unfortunately, the Bears unleashed a scoring frenzy in the second half, ultimately securing a 28-22 victory at HE Laybutt Field in Blacktown.

The Bears were simply too formidable, taking advantage of the Sea Eagles' errors to rack up the points.

Blacktown Workers Coach Wayne Lambkin kept his post-game message brief, emphasizing the team's struggles and the costly mistakes that led to their downfall.

It was a tough day at the office for the Workers, who will be looking to regroup and bounce back stronger in their next outing.
