Newcastle dynamo Bradman Best found himself in a bit of a sticky wicket as he went in for a cheeky peck with NRLW ace Millie Boyle on live TV after his team's cracking victory.
Best's mug said it all after he was given the cold shoulder by Boyle during a live chat following the Knights' triumph on Friday night.
The centre blushed sheepishly as he failed to land a smooch on Boyle's cheek during their interview in the Knights' den at McDonald Jones Stadium.
The footy pitch resembled a mud pit as the game played out in wild weather conditions, with the Knights prevailing with a crucial 30-10 win over the Dragons.
Best was like a runaway train as he crashed into the sideline boards while diving for a loose ball at lightning speed.
Unfortunately, the real knockback came after the game when Boyle, who also does commentary work for Channel 9, left him high and dry.
The only spot to catch all the NRL action live with no interruptions is on Fox League, available on Kayo.

It was a classic case of close but no cigar for Best, who tried to plant one on Boyle but ended up with a face full of air.
