Centre Rocco Berry has been named as the most experienced player among the six New Zealand Warriors players selected for the New Zealand Kiwis A squad.
This squad will be facing Mate Ma'a Tonga A in the upcoming Labour Weekend triple-header event at Eden Park on October 21.
Berry, who is 22 years old, has played 31 games for the Warriors.
He is joined by four NRL rookies from the club's 2023 team, as well as one player who has yet to make his first-grade appearance.
Among the rookies is fullback Taine Tuaupiki, who played five NRL games in his debut season.
Centre Ali Leiataua, second rower Kalani Going, and hooker Paul Roache also made their debuts in the NRL this season but did not add any more games to their tally.
The sixth player from the Warriors included in the squad is second rower Jacob Laban, who was the 18th man for the final regular season match but did not get any playing time.
While Berry had an impressive season with 16 appearances, the other five players showcased their skills in the club's New South Wales (NSW) Cup side.
This side narrowly missed reaching the grand final.
Going, in particular, stood out and was named the NZ Warriors' NSW Cup player of the year.
Tuaupiki received the NRL Rookie of the Year award, and Going and Leiataua were both named in the New South Wales Cup Team of the Year.
