Benji Marshall, the leader of the Wests Tigers pack, didn't hold back in his assessment of his team's performance against the Sharks.

The rookie boss unleashed a verbal blitz after his squad suffered a crushing defeat, leaving them languishing at the bottom of the ladder.

The Tigers, despite showing glimpses of promise throughout the season, seem destined for a third consecutive wooden spoon.

Their recent thrashings at the hands of top-four teams have left fans feeling disheartened.

The joint venture conceded a whopping 138 points in their last three encounters, highlighting their struggles on the field.

Facing off against a Sharks squad on a losing streak and missing their star halfback, the Tigers were simply no match.

Marshall didn't mince words when addressing his team's lackluster performance, pointing to a lack of effort and determination as the primary issues.

"I owe the loyal supporters an apology," Marshall expressed.

"When you step onto the field, you need to bring the right mentality.

Tonight, the opponents showed more aggression and intensity in their play, leaving us in their dust."

It's clear that the Tigers have some soul-searching to do if they hope to turn their season around.

With Marshall at the helm, they'll need to dig deep and find the resilience needed to overcome their current challenges.

Otherwise, they could be facing yet another disappointing finish to their campaign.
