In a move that has set the Rugby League world abuzz, Ben Hunt is reportedly 'going to the Roosters' as veteran NRL star Nick Politis is tipped to win the race for his signature.
The former Dragons captain is set to sit down with Sydney Roosters officials this week, with speculation rife that he will join the Bondi club.
Former NRL player Joel Caine has confidently declared that Hunt will end up at the Roosters, ruling out any potential return to Queensland with the Broncos or Dolphins.
The Roosters, backed by billionaire chairman Nick Politis, are in a strong position to secure Hunt's services, especially after losing key players such as Joseph Suaalii, Joey Manu, Luke Keary, and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.
With Terrell May also on the hunt for a new club and Brandon Smith potentially on the outer, the Roosters have room to accommodate Hunt in their squad.
With injuries sidelining Smith and Sam Walker for a significant portion of the 2025 season, Hunt could provide valuable depth at halfback or hooker.
Caine's belief that Hunt meeting with the Roosters is a sure sign that he will be donning the red, white, and blue jersey next season.
"He will be a Rooster for sure," Caine confidently stated on SEN radio.
"If he's meeting with the Roosters, he's going to the Roosters.
It's just a matter of time before he becomes their man." The Roosters, known for their storied history and star-studded lineup, are poised to add Hunt to their ranks and strengthen their team for the upcoming season.
