Bellamy Stormy Weather Warning: Panthers Could Pounce Soon

Storm coach Craig Bellamy says Penrith will smash his team if they don’t address errors after clumsy win over Souths

In classic Aussie slang, Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy reckons his team will cop a hiding from the Penrith Panthers if they don't clean up their act after a lackluster win over South Sydney.

Bellamy, known for his no-nonsense coaching style, didn't mince his words when he pointed out the lack of consistency in his ladder-leading team.

After a scrappy 28-16 victory over the lowly-ranked Souths, Bellamy was quick to warn his players about the consequences of a similar performance against the reigning premiers.

"If we do that next week, the bloke up in the scoreboard is gonna be working overtime on one side - and it won't be the side," Bellamy declared.

The Storm, who had a comfortable lead of 26-4 early in the second half, only managed to add a penalty goal as South Sydney clawed back with two tries.

The errors and lack of attacking flair left Bellamy frustrated, as he emphasized the need for his team to find their groove and tighten up their game.

With a showdown against the Panthers looming, Bellamy knows his team will need to step up their game if they want to avoid a thrashing from the competition heavyweights.

The pressure is on for the Storm to iron out their mistakes and find their rhythm, or they risk being on the wrong end of a rugby league lesson from Penrith.
