Cronulla Sharks fans, look away.
Though initially speculated to be a long shot, it has now been confirmed that Melbourne Storm star Jahrome Hughes will play in the preliminary final against the Sharks this week.
Coach Craig Bellamy made a major announcement regarding Hughes. Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Bellamy stated that Hughes will indeed participate in the crucial match this weekend.
"He's done enough to be confident in what he needs to do and what he is doing," Bellamy expressed. "Something drastic would have to go wrong for him to miss."
There were concerns that Hughes might miss the entire 2025 season after dislocating his shoulder during regular play and fracturing his forearm shortly after returning. However, the 2024 Dally M medalist is set to play despite the challenges he has faced.
