Bears Target Munster Unfazed by Future Plans

Cameron Munster, the Queensland and Melbourne Storm star, has been identified as a primary target for the Perth Bears. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old seems unfazed by this interest.

Reports suggest that Munster is likely to conclude his NRL career with the Storm, as Bears coach Mal Meninga has officially put an end to the rumors surrounding a potential high-profile recruitment of the Maroons playmaker.

As the Bears gear up for their 2027 NRL debut, they had long considered Munster a potential marquee signing and the face of their new club. However, Meninga has confirmed that the Bears are no longer pursuing the Storm's five-eighth.

"No," Meninga stated to the Daily Telegraph when questioned about Munster joining the Bears in 2027.

"Cameron has indicated he is staying in Melbourne, that's what the word is to us."

"I don't know much more, but I believe he is staying in Melbourne."
