The Perth Bears have made a significant signing by securing Josh Curran on a three-year contract as they prepare for their inaugural season in the NRL starting in 2027.
At 26 years old, Curran will join the Bears' initial roster, establishing himself as a key player during the club's foundation phase as they enter the league.
With over 100 first-grade matches to his name, Curran brings a wealth of NRL experience, having played for the Sydney Roosters, New Zealand Warriors, and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Curran expressed his enthusiasm about the opportunity to help build a new team from the ground up.
"This is an exciting opportunity that I just couldn't pass up," Curran said.
"To be part of the Bears' inaugural squad and help create something that can inspire a whole state is really special."
This signing marks a promising start for the Bears as they aim to foster a strong identity and culture in preparation for their debut season.
