Bears set sights on Titans, ready to tackle NRL

Following the confirmation of Mal Meninga as head coach of the Perth Bears, two Gold Coast Titans forwards, David Fifita and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, have been identified as potential marquee signings for the newly established NRL team.

As reported by zerotackle.com, the Bears are in the process of finalizing their coaching staff and will begin discussions with off-contract players starting November 1.

They aim to secure one or two top-tier players to enhance their chances of immediate playoff contention, mirroring the strategy seen with The Dolphins.

The Bears' interest in Fifita and Fa'asuamaleaui is partly tied to Meninga's previous association with the Titans as a consultant.

Despite the interest, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui's agent Simon Mammino stated that although there are clauses in Fa'asuamaleaui's contract that allow for an opt-out, the forward is dedicated to staying with the Gold Coast.

The Bears are expected to actively pursue strategic signings over the next six months as they build their roster.
