Baxter desperate for shot at grand final redemption
Corban Baxter experienced a complex mix of emotions sitting in the stands at Accor Stadium a year ago.
She was excited to cheer her Roosters teammates as they celebrated a remarkable season with a grand final win. However, her joy was dampened by disappointment, as she was unable to participate on the field after suffering an ACL tear during the pre-season.
This weekend, the 31-year-old finally gets her chance for redemption as the Roosters face Brisbane in the NRLW decider.
After spending four games on the sidelines, Baxter made her comeback last week in a nail-biting 17-16 victory over the Sharks at Polytec Stadium in Gosford.
Unfortunately, fate dealt a cruel hand when Baxter was brought into the halves due to star halfback Tarryn Aiken also tearing her ACL at the Central Coast venue during the last round of the season.
