Match Preview: NRL Round 1 vs Knights

Wests Tigers are set to kick off their 2025 campaign against the Knights at Campbelltown this Friday evening.

Tristan Hope is one of these seven players and will lace up his boots for his NRL debut at 27 years old.

The hooker has cut his teeth in the Queensland Cup for multiple clubs since breaking onto the scene in 2018 and was part of the Brisbane Tigers premiership-winning squad in 2023.

Sunia Turuva, Jeral Skelton, Terrell May, Royce Hunt and Jack Bird will also earn their official Wests Tigers Player Numbers when they run onto the field on Friday.

The Knights have named a formidable lineup, led by captain Kalyn Ponga who will be holding the fort at the back.

Wests Tigers will need to dig deep and channel their inner champions if they are to come out on top against Newcastle, as they have fallen short in their last six clashes against the Hunter club.
