NRL stars Dom Young, Victor Radley, Elliott Whitehead, Tom Burgess, and John Bateman have been selected as part of a 24-man England squad for the upcoming Test series against Tonga.

The news was reported by weststigers.com.au, highlighting Bateman as one of the five NRL stars named for the team.

Unfortunately, Broncos centre Herbie Farnworth will not be able to participate due to injury, joining several other players in the same situation.

Additionally, former Raiders halfback George Williams, who is the captain of the England team, will be unavailable as he is serving a two-match suspension for a shoulder charge during Warrington's finals loss to St Helens.

However, the extent of Williams' involvement in the three Test series may still be determined pending an appeal hearing scheduled for Tuesday night.
