Emily Bass is now fully dedicated to her rugby league career after receiving an unexpected opportunity with Wests Tigers, as reported by weststigers.com.au.
Initially preparing for the Queensland BMD Premiership, Bass participated in the NRL Vegas 9s to maintain her fitness, hoping for an NRLW contract later in the season.
Previously, she was resigned to beginning the season in a lower-tier competition after a late call-up for Queensland in Origin III.
Bass had been training with Brisbane Tigers and playing with the anticipation that a chance might arise.
However, her chance came sooner than expected when Wests Tigers coach Brett Kimmorley offered her a lifeline.
She has since made the significant decision to move to Sydney, leaving her job in Brisbane, and is now fully focused on her career with Wests Tigers.
