Warriors.kiwi have announced that Mitchell Barnett will be making his Origin debut for New South Wales in the upcoming State of Origin decider against Queensland at Suncorp Stadium on July 17th.

The 30-year-old forward has finally earned his place in the team after being on the bench in the first two matches.

Barnett's stellar performance in the Warriors' recent game against Canterbury Bankstown has undoubtedly caught the attention of Blues coach Michael Maguire.

His impressive stats from the match, including 226 metres gained, a try assist, five tackle breaks, and 56 tackles with only two misses, prove that he is more than ready for the Origin stage.

With Barnett's inclusion, Maguire has made some strategic changes to the lineup, bringing in Newcastle's Bradman Best to replace the injured Latrell Mitchell.

Haumole Olakau'atu makes way for Barnett on the interchange bench.

Barnett now joins the ranks of the select few who have represented the Warriors at the Origin level, showcasing the talent and determination that is synonymous with the New Zealand rugby league spirit.

It's an exciting opportunity for Barnett to prove himself on the big stage and contribute to a historic victory for the Blues.
