Barnett Eyes Broncos Move Amid Trade Talks

Mitch Barnett is set to transition from the Warriors to the Broncos by 2027 due to personal circumstances.

The Warriors remain in pursuit of a Broncos player to facilitate a swap that could benefit both teams.

Currently, the Warriors are keen on acquiring an outside back to enhance their squad and depth.

As reported by The Courier Mail, the focus has shifted to Broncos recruit Grant Anderson as the Warriors' top target.

Initially, the Warriors had their sights on Antonio Verhoeven, a promising 19-year-old Kiwi, but the Broncos declined their interest.

Anderson, who has yet to debut for last year's champions after his move from Melbourne, is anticipated to play against his old team this Friday.

His versatility in the backline could prove advantageous for the Warriors if the deal materializes.

With two years still on his contract, a Barnett swap is feasible if all involved parties reach an agreement.

Anderson brings with him experience, having played 50 NRL games for the Storm.

This swap scenario remains a bit unclear.

While the Warriors had indicated a willingness to arrange a player swap for Barnett's release to Brisbane, they have also issued a statement confirming his release.
