Rookie sensation Cooper Bai, hailing from the Future Titans squad, has made it clear that his heart lies with the Gold Coast Titans, despite the allure of following in his father's footsteps and joining the Storm.

The 18-year-old, son of former Melbourne Storm star Marcus Bai, has signed a full-time train-and-trial deal with the Titans after graduating from school.

Marcus Bai, a first-grade flyer who etched his name in the Storm's history books with 144 games between 1998 and 2003, also had a successful stint in the English Super League before hanging up his boots.

However, Cooper's loyalty lies with the Titans, where his father's career began with the iconic Gold Coast Chargers.

For Cooper, the Titans have "always been home," and he is eager to carve his own path in the NRL with the Gold Coast squad.

Despite the Storm's tempting offer, Bai is committed to making his mark with the Titans and following in his father's footsteps in his own unique way.
