Backline shuffle brings new challenges for NZ Warriors

Team List: Backline changes

The Warriors from across the ditch have been hit with more injury woes, forcing yet another reshuffle in the backline for their upcoming NRL clash against the Wests Tigers at the jam-packed Go Media Stadium on Friday night.

In their last home game against the Broncos, the Warriors were able to field their strongest backline and came out victorious with a solid 32-16 win.

However, their luck took a turn for the worse when three of their key backs were forced off the field in the following game against the Bulldogs.

The injury woes continued in their most recent clash against Canberra, with replacement fullback Taine Tuaupiki and centre Adam Pompey both succumbing to injuries early on in the match.

This forced second rowers Kurt Capewell and Leka Halasima to step up and play big minutes in the centres, as the backline was once again shaken up.

Despite the setbacks, the starting pack remains unchanged for the fourth consecutive game, with Addin Fonua-Blake, Wayde Egan, and Mitchell Barnett leading the charge in the front row.

Marata Niukore and Kurt Capewell hold down the second row positions, with Dylan Walker donning the loose forward jersey.

The interchange bench remains the same as their previous matchups against the Bulldogs and Raiders.

As the Warriors gear up to take on the Wests Tigers under the Friday night lights, they will be looking to overcome adversity and showcase their resilience on the field.

Fans can expect an intense battle as the Warriors look to come out on top and secure a crucial victory in the NRL season.
