The Broncos have been knocked out of the finals, and now Kevin Walters' future is on shaky ground as reports of an internal issue surface.
After coming so close to glory in 2023, Walters may only have 12 games to prove he can turn things around in the 2025 season.
According to Phil Rothfield from The Daily Telegraph, Brisbane may wield the axe if the Broncos fail to show significant improvement following a disastrous loss to the Dolphins over the weekend.
"That loss on Saturday was an absolute shocker.
They were absolutely woeful," Rothfield declared on the Big Sports Breakfast.
Despite making it to the grand final last year and nearly clinching the premiership, Walters' job security is now in question.
However, some believe any talk of him being on the chopping block is premature.
In true sporting fashion, the pressure is now on Walters to rally his team and show that he has what it takes to lead the Broncos to victory once again.
